SIT ALL Y’ALL ASSES DOWN I WANT TO TELL YOU ABOUT A BOMB-ASS CROSSOVER FANFICTION CALLED SHOCK THERAPY MOTHAFUCKAS 

For one— it’s a well written crossover fic, which is rare unto itself, and it’s a Yu Yu Hakusho/Sailor Moon fic to boot, which is another point in it’s favor! It was originally written as a Yusuke/Makoto one-shot, but because there was so much implied within that story alone, it wound up becoming a full fledged fic, with eleven chapters and counting! (The last being updated just today) It plays around with the idea of the inevitability and realities of Crystal Tokyo (and also the sheer intimidation of it as a possible future— not making it seem evil or bad, but just the fact that it’s a huge commitment and responsibility), as well as the weird quibbles created by Chibiusa’s time traveling and how it affects their timeline and others, as well as the fact that not everything is black and white as it seems! It works under the assumption that the YYH crew and the Sailor Moon crew live in the same Tokyo/Japan/reality (they ARE both early 90’s anime that involve normal folks dealing with supernatural things, after all!), so there’s no reality bending or dimension traveling or anything like that at least not on the main cast’s end, though it does answer the question of how different continuities and crossovers can exist, but I’m not spoiling anything just yet ;9

…and yes, as mentioned before, it IS a ship-fic (Yusuke/Makoto and Kuwabara/Minako — the other two gals and guys don’t get paired, fortunately), but that’s also really well done on that end too! It’s very slow burning and realistic, and none of the romance is forced or OOC (the only instance where it would seem so would be Minako’s initial reaction/compulsion towards Kuwabara, and even THAT has a logical explanation behind it), so it’s a nice, refreshing break from fics where people start pledging eternal love by chapter three |Da And the ships aren’t even that focused on, either! They’re more or less of a flavor enhancer to the meat of the fic C: (speaking of meat— there is food porn in this fic. LOTS OF FOOD PORN. Be prepaaaaared)
