My Pokemon Black 2 game is Sailor Moon-themed - with that female protagonist, how could I not? - so, to celebrate my beating Ghetsis with literally 3 HP total, here’s Mars the Darmanitan and Venus the Swoobat. Galvantupiter and Bearcury are drawn, but not yet coloured.

This is also kind of an announcement of sorts - my computer has suddenly broken and so I won’t be able to answer questions, post, reblog, etc. as frequently as usual. (I also don’t have any good graphics programs on this computer, clearly.) On the plus side, I guess, I’ve been doing a lot of traditional work!

Basically, Michelle and I wanted to design a fancier outfit for Mina for reasons we won’t disclose now (uhohoho~), and Michelle suggested we use the Song Card from Cardcaptor Sakura for inspiration!

AND THAT’S WHAT I DID

I did fiddle around a bit with the skirt-length and other arbitrary details (like tights vs no tights, shoe design, etc), and while this is still in concept mode, I do like how it turned out! Mina’s gonna be so much taller than all the guys in heels though dskjfbkds

This idea came to me a few days ago, but because of Lunacy and a few other things, I couldn’t draw it at the time. Most of my drawing ideas come quickly, I scribble them down, and move on - so having to wait was an uncommon but rewarding feeling, and so I spent a bit more time on it.

Feel free to come up with your own origin stories for this AU Venus. All I know is that she’s the reincarnation of Aphrodite, and she don’t take no shit.

She was nowhere near as awesome as this (I wound up making the senshi uniforms their ‘power suits’ that could channel their mutant powers and could be easily switched off with their tiaras) but hnnnnghhhh this is so amazing STOP BEING SO AWESOME ;-;
